Kiraitu unveils committees key

Governor Kiraitu Murungi has commissioned the sub-counties development committee to coordinate development at Sub-County level. The committee will indentify and prioritize

development projects to be implemented by the County Government.They will also facilitate participatory planning and budgeting for development projects across the County. Kiraitu says he has chosen to work closely with the National Government, MPs and all other stakeholders to Make Meru Great. He urged everyone to join hands and work on transforming the County. ” We have given priority to provision of water in semi-arid areas, healthcare and youth empowerment,” he added As part of his plans to compliment President Kenyatta’s universal healthcare agenda, Kiraitu said his government will lead and encourage recruitment of new NHIF members to scale down the burden of hospital bills.
